Storyteller's Profile

Jo-Anne Kite

Jo-Anne Kite is a Kokatha, Adnyamathanha and Mambali woman who grew up in the outer suburbs of Adelaide. She is a Support Worker, Holistic Counsellor and an Artist and loves helping others in every way she can. In the last 5 years, Jo-Anne has discovered that her great grandfather was stolen from Ngukurr, Northern Territory and has found this to be a learning discovery about her family’s home and ways. Unfortunately, due to a number of barriers, she has been unable to return to Ngukurr to learn more about her people. Jo-Anne’s journey is to help others through her ancestral healing lines, discovering these skills in herself, leading her to a different path that she never thought would be possible. Jo-Anne has embraced her spirituality and trusts in the divine for what the future will hold for her.
